Installing fonts into MAC OS »
Mac OS X has native support for Type 1 and Open type fonts, which can be installed just like other font types on OS X.
- Before installing your fonts, quit all applications
- Locate the folder that contains the fonts you want to install
- Move the fonts.
Mac OS 9.x or 8.x: Drag the fonts to the system folder. Click OK when prompted.
Mac OS X: Drag and drop the fonts into the Fonts folder of the Library folder.
Classic Mode: For applications running under classic mode you have to install Mac TrueType or Mac PostScript Type 1 fonts in the Fonts folder of the Classic System Folder
Installing fonts in Windows »
- Got to Control Panel.
Click on your Start button and select Settings > Control Panel (or Open My Computer then Control Panel)
- Go to your Fonts folder.
Open (double click) the fonts folder
- Go to Install New Font
Click on your Start button and select Settings > Control Panel (or Open My Computer then Control Panel)
- Find the directory/folder with the font(s) you want to install.
Use the Folder: and Drives: windows to move to the folder on your hard drive, a disk, or CD where your new TrueType or OpenType fonts are located
- Install the font.
Click OK. This completes your TrueType or OpenType font installation.
